Standard aluminum profiles are off-the-shelf extruded shapes stocked by distributors worldwide. Common cross-sections include equal and unequal angles, channels, I-beams, square and rectangular tubes, round tubes, flat bars and round bars, available in 3-meter and 6-meter standard lengths.
Most standard profiles are extruded from 6063-T5 aluminum (architectural and general-purpose) or 6061-T6 aluminum (higher-strength structural). We supply mill finish, anodized and powder-coated profiles on FOB, CFR and CIF terms to construction, machinery, furniture and fabrication industries across Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa and North America.

What are Standard Aluminum Profiles?
Standard aluminum profiles are off-the-shelf extruded shapes in common cross-sections: angles, channels, I-beams, square and round tubes, flat bars and round bars. They are stocked by distributors worldwide and available for immediate delivery without custom tooling charges.
Most standard profiles are extruded from 6063-T5 or 6061-T6 aluminum alloys. 6063-T5 offers good strength, excellent surface finish for anodizing, and lower cost; 6061-T6 provides higher strength for structural applications. These profiles are widely used in construction, machinery frames, furniture, transportation and general fabrication.
Common Alloys for Standard Profiles

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 6063 and 6061 aluminum profiles?
6063-T5 has lower strength but better surface finish and extrudability, making it the standard for architectural profiles, furniture and anodized parts. 6061-T6 is about 30% stronger and used for structural frames, marine fittings and high-load applications.
What are the standard lengths for aluminum profiles?
Standard stock lengths are 3 meters and 6 meters. We can cut profiles to custom lengths (cut-to-length service) for an additional charge. Maximum extrusion length is typically 6 – 7 meters depending on the profile size and alloy.
Can aluminum profiles be welded?
Yes. 6063 and 6061 can be welded using TIG (GTAW) or MIG (GMAW) with ER4043 or ER5356 filler. The heat-affected zone will soften in T6 profiles, so design joints accordingly or re-heat-treat after welding if full strength is required.
What is the minimum order quantity for standard profiles?
For stock shapes in mill finish, our MOQ is 500 kg (mixed profiles acceptable). For anodized or powder-coated profiles, MOQ is typically 1 – 3 tons per color/finish.
How thick should anodizing be for outdoor use?
For outdoor architectural applications, specify Class I anodizing (20 – 25 µm minimum thickness per Qualanod / ASTM B580). Indoor profiles can use Class II (10 – 15 µm).
